What we offer
Our French teacher, Coco, is a native Parisian and has been teaching at the Alliance Française for 24 years, specializing in French language instruction for children. Coco uses the Les Loustics method, a dynamic and interactive approach that I’ve trusted for many years. This method combines songs, listening and reading comprehension, and early reading activities. Children love it because it makes learning French fun and engaging.
French class at Dulwich Hill School takes place on Friday mornings from 8.00 to 9.00 am.
To book your child into French classes please email: cocobesse92@gmail.com.
DHPS Afternoon Art Club runs during term time on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30 - 5:15pm and is suitable for Kindy’s through to Year 6.
In Art Club students work on two projects over the course of a term, with a program which changes each term. Programs are designed to inspire and engage primary aged students and include a variety of artistic techniques and mediums such as painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, textile art and design.
Art Club is run by Angela and her team. Angela has a BA Hons and MA with a Sculpture Major in Visual Arts from the University of Western Sydney.

3D Printing classes are run by Simeon, an ex student of DHPS and a Dulwich Hill local. Simeon has been obsessed with designing products and using 3D printers for as long as he can remember. In this course Simeon will take what he has learnt from his experience with design and printing and bring it to the kids of DHPS. By using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and 3D printing he hopes to show students how to transform ideas into real products and learn valuable lessons in STEM.
During the course kids will design, model and print two products from their own imagination and at the end of the term they will have the opportunity to showcase their products and present their ideas to the class and parents.
3D Printing returns Term 4, on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. You have a choice of one or two hour session on either day .
Term cost for the one hour session is $220, or term cost for the two hour session is $320.

Inner West Drama classes are all about creative play. The increasing structure in the lives of our children leaves little time for flights of fantasy and play. Inner West Drama offers kids a focused space in which they can play imaginatively through games and improvisation. Play allows children to try out new tactics and behaviours in a safe and fun way which they can then take into the everyday. In-class performances develop confidence, ensemble skills and practise presenting to a group. Most of all our class are fun and playful.
After-School Code Camp allows kids to hone their coding skills and keep practising through weekly sessions over the term!
Students will produce multiple games and apps using our exciting online platform Code Camp World!
We have made Code Camp World as accessible as possible so students can truly focus on the fun aspects of coding and carry on their journey at home.
Each week students will choose the features they want to build, and advance their problem-solving skills to build these features using code. They will take ownership over their projects and collaborate with their peers to make awesome apps!

After having taken lessons for about a year, students should have the skills to join the string group. 6-7 is a good time to start playing violin or cello, although there is no problem with starting a little earlier or later. The school owns a small number of instruments which are available for hire. Alternately, cheap second hand instruments can be hired or purchased from local music stores.
In 2026 our school will be working with The Music Partnership for our Band Program.
Band enrolments for 2026 are now open! Instruments you can play in band include: Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Oboe,
Trumpet, Baritone, Trombone, Bass Guitar and Drums
