Music

Research shows that participation in music making from an early age has many benefits for brain development and social and academic success at school and in life.

There is a keen music scene at Dulwich Hill, and participation groups is a wonderful way for children to increase their musical skills, learn more about working together with others, have fun and cement friendships.

Community Nights

At the end of every term a Community Night is held, featuring students performing in class groups and extra curricular groups. Every child performs at least once a year at a Community Night. Working towards these performance evenings is an exciting endeavour and a huge boost to children’s confidence and presentation skills. A delicious dinner is available in the school canteen prior to the concert.

Music Showcase

Once a year the school Parents and Citizen’s Association holds a Musical Showcase featuring school music groups and selected soloists. The event raises funds for the purchase a range of musical instruments for students to use.
